SUMMARY:VNC China Eetclub 14 - Yunnanese dinner
DESCRIPTION:VNC China Dining Club - 31 August in Amsterdam \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Sunday\, August 31\, 2025\, at 12:30 PMDimsum King\, Fogostraat 10\, Amsterdam Osdorp(accessible by tram line 1\, parking available) Cantonese cuisine has a custom of eating dimsum (or dianxin) for breakfast. These are steamed or fried small bites \, usually a piece of meat or seafood wrapped in a sheet of flour or rice flour. The steamed appetizers are prepared in a bamboo basket and also arrive on the table that way. The variety in dim sum is huge\, so we can feel free to spend several meals on it with the VNC China Dining Club. In China\, dim sum breakfast blends seamlessly into lunch. For people in Guangdong Province and Hong Kong\, eating dim sum is also a great opportunity to meet friends and business associates. Unfortunately\, dim sum isn’t available for breakfast in the Netherlands. Dim sum restaurants in the Netherlands don’t open until noon. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Your host\, Mr. OEY Toen Ping\, will once again bring several (cultural) artifacts and talk about them. This time\, he will show some acquisitions from his last trip to China (July 2025): books and pottery. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Register here:
