SUMMARY:Creative Industry Dialogue in Architecture\, Interior Design\, Product Design sectors
DESCRIPTION:We are delighted that you are joining us\, alongside many other leaders and experts\, to the Creative Industry Dialogue\, taking place on October 22 at Capital C in Amsterdam and October 23 at the Crowne Plaza in Antwerp. \nAcross the Benelux\, creativity is driving new frontiers in architecture\, interior design\, and material innovation. As global supply chains and markets rapidly evolve\, new opportunities are emerging to connect Europe and Asia\, particularly China\, through design\, production\, and shared sustainability goals. In this dynamic context\, China and Europe are working toward a more resilient and mutually supportive ecosystem. \nThis Dialogue aims to foster collaboration across the entire creative value chain. By bringing together voices from design\, architecture\, product innovation\, and materials research\, we hope to bridge creative vision with real-world supply chain transformation. We believe that knowledge exchange\, co-creation\, and strategic partnerships are essential to scaling sustainable living\, both in the short term and for generations to come. \nThe day begins with an inspiring briefing on current trends in design and sustainability. This is followed by the Global Link & Match\, a unique opportunity to explore new markets and supply chain collaborations. In the afternoon\, the Future Design Table invites participants to envision what sustainable living could look like in 2035. These ideas will be captured and shared on a Vision Wall. We close the day with networking and a hands-on session on international business communication\, turning ideas into actionable partnerships. \nWe look forward to meaningful conversations\, bold ideas\, and lasting impact.

SUMMARY:Jeffrey Wasserstrom on China\, Protest and Asia’s Struggle against Autocracy
DESCRIPTION:China is changing the world—and the world is responding. In just a few decades\, China has gone from isolated state to global powerhouse\, reshaping politics\, culture\, and the fight for democracy across Asia. From Hong Kong’s streets to youth movements in Thailand and Myanmar\, the ripple effects are impossible to ignore. \nJoin us for an eye-opening talk with Jeffrey N. Wasserstrom\, Chancellor’s Professor of History at University of California\, Irvine and one of the most insightful voices on modern China. Author of China in the 21st Century: What Everyone Needs to Know and the brand-new Milk Tea Alliance\, Wasserstrom will explore: \n> China’s rapid rise and global impact\n> How young activists across Asia are building solidarity against authoritarianism \nStories of resistance\, creativity\, and cross-border connection \nIn this lecture Wasserstrom will discuss both the big picture of China’s development and the more intimate stories of regional activism (for his last book\, Wasserstrom interviewed dozens of dissidents). It’s a chance to dive deep into the forces shaping our world right now. The talk will be followed by a Q&A and a networking reception. \nWhether you’re a policymaker\, journalist\, student\, or simply curious about the future of global politics\, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss. \nAbout the speaker \nJeffrey Wasserstrom is Distinguished Professor of History at UC Irvine\, where he specializes in modern Chinese and global history. He is particularly interested in themes such as youth movements\, cities\, gender\, and dystopian fiction\, and he has written\, co-written\, edited\, or co-edited a dozen books. His recent works include Vigil: Hong Kong on the Brink (2020) and The Milk Tea Alliance: Inside Asia’s Struggle Against Autocracy and Beijing (2025). In addition to his academic writing\, he regularly contributes essays and commentary to outlets such as the New York Times and The Atlantic.
