Discover, connect and strengthen culturally, educationally and in business. <\/em><\/p><p>The VNC is an autonomous, independent Dutch organization that does not receive state and provincial subsidies and relies on generating its own income.<br \/>The organization is run by volunteers.<br \/>Everyone contributes to the mission unpaid.<\/p><p>The VNC has been able to sustain itself for nearly 50 years through member dues and organizing cultural economic activities.<\/p><p>Membership covers one calendar year and automatically continues into the following year unless cancelled by December 15.<\/p><p>As a member of the VNC you get free or discounted access to interesting VNC events such as the China Caf\u00e9 in Utrecht, the Chinese New Year, advance notice of films, access to and borrow books from the VNC library, book reviews, cultural gatherings as well as member meetings. Furthermore, with the digital periodical ChinaNU+, news briefs and podcasts, you are always kept up to date with current affairs.
