SUMMARY:Wakker kussen
DESCRIPTION:Een expositie die over grenzen heengaat: van eeuwen en continenten. Zo is de expositie ‘Wakker kussen’ te bestempelen. Elf hedendaagse kunstenaars laten zich inspireren door verborgen Chinese schatten uit het depot van het Centraal Museum. \nVier maanden lang biedt Landhuis Oud Amelisweerd onderdak aan deze zelden of nooit getoonde objecten en aan wat deze bij de kunstenaars losmaken. En de bosrijke omgeving is goed voor een knipoog naar het sprookje van Doornroosje: het eeuwenoude Chinese porselein wordt eventjes wakker gekust. \nLandhuis Oud Amelisweerd met z’n uniek\, handgeschilderde\, achttiende-eeuwse behang uit China biedt een passend en sfeervol decor voor deze ontmoeting tussen oost en west\, tussen vroeger en nu. Ook de gunsten en gruwelen van de handel met Azië kunnen zomaar in de werken doorschemeren. \nDe kunstenaars variëren in leeftijd tussen begin twintig en een eind in de zestig. Acht geboren in Nederland\, drie hebben Aziatische wortels. Ze hebben één of meer kunstwerken uit het museumdepot als het ware geadopteerd en vertellen daar in keramiek hun eigen verhaal\, gevoelens en gedachten bij. Dat kan gaan over vorm\, verleiding\, verzet\, geschiedenis\, kleur\, kunde\, techniek\, functie\, impact\, vreugde\, verdriet\, noem maar op… De kunstenaar is vrij. \nKeramiekpodium Utrechtse Aarde is de afgelopen jaren samenwerking aangegaan met andere disciplines en organisaties. Steeds met als doel om verrassend en vernieuwend werk te laten ontstaan. Kunstenaars voelen zo de uitdaging om buiten de gebaande paden te denken en te werken\, maar toch trouw te blijven aan de eigen stijl en zeggingskracht. Kruisbestuiving over de grenzen van tijd en land vormt dit keer het experiment\, uitmondend in een gecombineerde expositie van historisch en hedendaags werk.\nLandhuis Oud Amelisweerd is de enthousiaste gastgever. Rondom het pand vinden keramiek-workshops plaats\, onder meer door Kunstenhuis Idea\, met vestigingen in Zeist\, Bunnik\, De Bilt\, Soest en Driebergen. SUMMARY:Welkom op Prinsjesdag 2025 in Den Haag
DESCRIPTION:Prinsjesdag – 16 september 2025 \nPrinsjesdag vindt jaarlijks plaats op de derde dinsdag van september. Het is de traditionele start van het parlementaire jaar voor de Eerste en Tweede Kamer. Ook biedt de minister van Financiën in de Tweede Kamer de Miljoenennota en de rijksbegroting aan en spreekt de Koning de troonrede uit. Voorafgaand aan het voorlezen van de troonrede gaan leden van het Koninklijk Huis met een rijtoer van Paleis Noordeinde via het Lange Voorhout naar de Koninklijke Schouwburg. \nVNC maakt het mogelijk om dit unieke echte Nederlandse evenement vanaf een speciaal gereserveerde zitplaats vlak bij het parlement te zien. Geniet van de prachtige parade en de Glazen Koets met Koning Willem-Alexander en Koningin Maxima van heel dichtbij! Na de parade komen we 14:30 uur samen in het stadhuis van Den Haag waar Cees van den Oosten\, voormalig Eerste Kamerlid\, ons ontvangt en een korte toelichting geeft over het politieke systeem en is er mogelijkheid tot netwerken.  \nLet op! Helaas is de mogelijkheid voor een gereserveerde zitplaats bij de viering van Prinsjesdag beperkt. Geadviseerd wordt om met de fiets of het openbaar vervoer te komen. Enkele tram- en buslijnen rijden een andere route. Kijk op de website van de HTM voor meer informatie. De gemeente plaatst hekken bij straten die voor Prinsjesdag afgesloten worden. De route van de koets is tussen 12:45 uur en 14:30 uur aan beide kanten afgezet. Voetgangers kunnen de route oversteken bij de vlaggen tot 11:30 uur. Van 11:30 uur tot 14:30 uur zijn de oversteekplaatsen voor voetgangers afgesloten. \nVeiligheidsmaatregelen\nGedurende Prinsjesdag worden er in Den Haag extra veiligheidsmaatregelen genomen. Voor een veilig verloop van Prinsjesdag kan de politie je tas controleren. Aangeraden wordt om geen grote tassen of rugzakken mee te nemen. Zhang zal door FD journalist Jeroen Bos geïnterviewd worden. Haar roman ‘De spijker’ stond in veel ‘Beste boeken van 2024’-lijstjes en recent is haar roman ‘Huize Zwaan’ in vertaling door Annelous Stiggelbout verschenen. DESCRIPTION:Eind vorig jaar hebben drie van onze bestuursleden deze tentoonstelling bezocht. We waren erg onder de indruk van de omvang\, verscheidenheid en schoonheid van deze door een jonge ambitieus Chinese junior conservator samengestelde keramiektentoonstelling. Daarom willen we dit jaar nog twee bezoeken organiseren. Evenals vorig jaar zullen de bezoeken rondleiding krijgen van deze enthousiaste conservator die de stukken met zijn verhalen en kennis stuk voor stuk tot leven bracht. We nodigen je uit voor een reis door 5000 jaar Aziatische keramiek. Ontdek de prachtige vormen en beschilderingen van de kommen\, borden en beelden. DESCRIPTION:Mental health is one of the defining issues of our time. The COVID-19 pandemic\, rapid social change\, and modern pressures have made mental well-being more pressing than ever. Yet for many immigrants—including the Chinese community in Europe—mental health remains a sensitive or even stigmatized topic. \nTo address this issue\, the Foundation of Intercultural Participation of Chinese Families (IPCF) launched the Chinese Mental Health Day four years ago. Since then\, the event has become a safe place for Chinese families to gather\, learn\, and openly discuss topics which often left unspoken. This year marks the 4th edition\, taking place in Amsterdam on October 11–12\, 2025. \nThis edition consists of 10 workshops in total. The theme is balance—between body and mind\, self and others\, heritage and new change. The program combines professional expertise with cultural sensitivity\, supported by psychologists\, therapists\, and coaches from across Europe. The Workshop topics covers mindfulness\, body–mind healing\, intimate relationships\, parenting\, art therapy\, and cross-cultural family communication. All sessions are conducted in Mandarin\, tailored to the realities of Chinese people living in Europe.\nChinese Mental Health Day creates a sense of belonging for then\, whose daily life often carries multiple pressure: integrating to local community while preserving their original cultural identity. Parents face different child-rearing norms\, young adults navigate identity conflicts\, and elders may feel isolation. Het Toyisme is een vrij recente stroming in de kunst en bestaat uit een internationaal collectief van kunstenaars. VNC leden worden van harte uitgenodigd om bij de opening van deze expositie aanwezig te zijn. \nMonique Knapen verzorgt op de openingsdag op 18 oktober een inleiding over kunst in China. Vervolgens vertelt Dejo\, de initiatiefnemer van het Toyisme en zelf Toyist\, over deze stroming en zijn boeiende ervaringen in China. On Tuesday 11 November (09:00–10:00)\, the China Knowledge Network hosts a knowledge session with Professor Florian Schneider\, Academic Director of the Leiden Asia Centre and Professor Modern China at the Leiden University Institute for Area Studies. \nEarlier this year\, Schneider spent six months in Taiwan as a visiting scholar at the Department of Political Science of National Taiwan University\, where he conducted research for the project Fake Factory: Disinformation and Learning Machines in Taiwan. His study explores how people in Taiwan think about and respond to disinformation in the context of AI – and what lessons this might hold for Europe. According to Schneider\, Taiwan shows that panic is not the answer. While technological tools matter\, the real key lies in strengthening AI literacy\, media education\, and digital skills. He served as General Counsel and later Head of Corporate Affairs at Nexperia\, guiding the company through strategic transitions in a complex geopolitical environment. \nBefore Nexperia\, Smit held senior legal roles at NXP\, Philips\, and Akzo Nobel. Since leaving Nexperia in 2024\, he has been an Associate Partner at Hague Corporate Affairs and FGS Global\, advising high-tech companies on strategic positioning in The Hague and Brussels. \nHe also serves as Chairman of the Dutch semiconductor cluster\, Business Cluster Semiconductors NL. \n \nRené Raaijmakers \nRené Raaijmakers (Oirschot\, The Netherlands\, 1960) started working as a science journalist immediately after completing his studies in chemistry. In the 1990s\, he wrote as a freelance contributor for NRC Handelsblad\, Intermediair\, Automatisering Gids and Computable\, among others\, about the ICT and semiconductor industry.\nIn 1999\, he founded Techwatch and launched Bits&Chips\, a trade and opinion magazine for the high-tech industry. Raaijmakers founded The High Tech Institute in 2011. He has written books about Philips Natlab and ASML and still contributes articles to Bits&Chips and High Tech Systems magazine.
