SUMMARY:Wakker kussen
DESCRIPTION:Een expositie die over grenzen heengaat: van eeuwen en continenten. Zo is de expositie ‘Wakker kussen’ te bestempelen. Elf hedendaagse kunstenaars laten zich inspireren door verborgen Chinese schatten uit het depot van het Centraal Museum. \nVier maanden lang biedt Landhuis Oud Amelisweerd onderdak aan deze zelden of nooit getoonde objecten en aan wat deze bij de kunstenaars losmaken. En de bosrijke omgeving is goed voor een knipoog naar het sprookje van Doornroosje: het eeuwenoude Chinese porselein wordt eventjes wakker gekust. \nLandhuis Oud Amelisweerd met z’n uniek\, handgeschilderde\, achttiende-eeuwse behang uit China biedt een passend en sfeervol decor voor deze ontmoeting tussen oost en west\, tussen vroeger en nu. Ook de gunsten en gruwelen van de handel met Azië kunnen zomaar in de werken doorschemeren. \nDe kunstenaars variëren in leeftijd tussen begin twintig en een eind in de zestig. Acht geboren in Nederland\, drie hebben Aziatische wortels. Ze hebben één of meer kunstwerken uit het museumdepot als het ware geadopteerd en vertellen daar in keramiek hun eigen verhaal\, gevoelens en gedachten bij. Dat kan gaan over vorm\, verleiding\, verzet\, geschiedenis\, kleur\, kunde\, techniek\, functie\, impact\, vreugde\, verdriet\, noem maar op… De kunstenaar is vrij. \nKeramiekpodium Utrechtse Aarde is de afgelopen jaren samenwerking aangegaan met andere disciplines en organisaties. Steeds met als doel om verrassend en vernieuwend werk te laten ontstaan. Kunstenaars voelen zo de uitdaging om buiten de gebaande paden te denken en te werken\, maar toch trouw te blijven aan de eigen stijl en zeggingskracht. Kruisbestuiving over de grenzen van tijd en land vormt dit keer het experiment\, uitmondend in een gecombineerde expositie van historisch en hedendaags werk.\nLandhuis Oud Amelisweerd is de enthousiaste gastgever. Rondom het pand vinden keramiek-workshops plaats\, onder meer door Kunstenhuis Idea\, met vestigingen in Zeist\, Bunnik\, De Bilt\, Soest en Driebergen. SUMMARY:Museumbezoek Draken en Demonen\, Groninger Museum
DESCRIPTION:Eind vorig jaar hebben drie van onze bestuursleden deze tentoonstelling bezocht. We waren erg onder de indruk van de omvang\, verscheidenheid en schoonheid van deze door een jonge ambitieus Chinese junior conservator samengestelde keramiektentoonstelling. Daarom willen we dit jaar nog twee bezoeken organiseren. Evenals vorig jaar zullen de bezoeken rondleiding krijgen van deze enthousiaste conservator die de stukken met zijn verhalen en kennis stuk voor stuk tot leven bracht. We nodigen je uit voor een reis door 5000 jaar Aziatische keramiek. Ontdek de prachtige vormen en beschilderingen van de kommen\, borden en beelden. De voorwerpen vertellen verhalen over culturele gebruiken en rituelen\, zoals het drinken van thee en het branden van wierook of over thema’s als (on) sterfelijkheid\, goden\, dieren\, drakenen demonen. \nDe data zijn bekend: donderdag 22 mei en zaterdag 27 september. Meld je tijdig aan voor een zekere plaats. Het maximum aantal personen per bezoek is 20. Kosten rondleiding gratis voor VNC leden en €5 voor niet leden.
