At July 4 2016, 3 pm (15.00 hrs) Mr. Sun will give a presentation on “China’s Countryside: A Treasure for its Next Generations.”
The rural area of China undergoes big changes due to economic developments and urbanization. China has recently become more interested in rural revitalization.
Mr. Sun Jun is at the forefront of this new way of thinking. He is an expert in this trending topic spanning culture, design, and economics. Mr. Sun Jun is the author of The Rural Way. Other publications of Mr. Sun Jun are: No Shortcuts to New Rural Road, Methods and Practice of New Rural Construction and Build Rural Areas More “Rural”.
Mr. Sun Jun is founder and director of the NGO Beijing Green Cross, an organization working with Chinese villagers to revitalize their villages and embracing ecotourism. Moreover he is Secretary General of China Agro-Road Union. Besides he is a painter.
The presentation will be in Chinese with translation into English. After the presentation there will be an opportunity for Q and A.
The event is organized by Friendship Association Netherlands – China and Mansholt chair for Rural development of Faculty Spatial Sciences, Groningen University, with support of the Confucius Institute of Groningen University.
The event will be in: Het Van Swinderenhuys, Oude Boteringestraat 19, 9712 CG Groningen. Walk-in as from: 14.30 hrs (Start presentation 15.00 hrs.)
