Al sinds 2007 de plek waar professionals die dagelijks met China bezig zijn elkaar ontmoeten en kennis delen. De China Cafés zijn laagdrempelige, informele bijeenkomsten met accent op het zakenleven en toegankelijk voor iedereen. Elk China Café staat er weer een ander actueel thema centraal in een interview met experts vanaf de barkruk en verder volop gelegenheid om elkaar te spreken.

The December 15, 2025 edition of China Café, moderated by Cindy Shao and hosted by Lianne Baaij, brought urgent clarification to one of the most complicated and politically charged business cases in the Netherlands: the Nexperia affair. In conversation with Charles Smit, former General Counsel and Head of Corporate Affairs at Nexperia, and René Raaijmakers, journalist and founder of Bits&Chips, the legal, geopolitical and industrial dynamics converging around the company were dissected – and their implications for Europe’s high-tech future.
The result was a conversation that went beyond the headlines and provided a nuanced, factual representation of what really happened, the context in which it happened, and how the Netherlands and Europe should respond.
