Prinsjesdag 16 September @ 11:00 – 15:30
Prinsjesdag takes place every year on the third Tuesday of September. It marks the traditional opening of the parliamentary year for the Senate and House of Representatives. On this day, the Minister of Finance presents the Budget Memorandum and the national budget to the House of Representatives, and the King delivers the Speech from the Throne.
Before the speech, members of the Royal House travel in a ceremonial carriage procession from Noordeinde Palace via the Lange Voorhout to the Royal Theatre.
VNC makes it possible to watch this unique, truly Dutch event from a specially reserved seat near Parliament. Enjoy the magnificent parade and the Glass Carriage with King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima up close! After the parade, we will meet at 2:30 PM at The Hague City Hall, where Cees van den Oosten, former Member of the Senate, will welcome us and briefly explain the political system. There will also be an opportunity for networking.
Please note: Seats for Prinsjesdag are limited. Register quickly to secure your place!
