Brings China closer

What a great second edition of the China Pub Quiz in Den Bosch!

Again at a special location: FC Den Bosch’s De Vliert Stadium, owned by Bridge Football Group with Chinese roots.

With 72 participants divided into 15 teams, it was again an evening full of humor, competition and surprising insights about China.

Led by experienced quizmasters Fred Sengers and Ed Sander, the participants were presented with challenging questions:

• Was it Ford or Nixon who visited the Temple of Heaven in 1975?

• Does ice cream and coffee chain Mixue now have more locations worldwide than McDonald’s and Starbucks combined?

• Did Trump get a hug from Xi Jinping during his visit to China or not?

Not an easy task — especially with questions about Chinese history, the digital world in China and the relationship between China and the Netherlands.

After an exciting battle, team “Jupiter SR” took the victory, narrowly ahead of defending champion “Het Verre Oosten”. Third place was for “De Brabant Tijgers”.

Thanks to our sponsors:

Main sponsor Monex, Cowin, Coolen China, Hand and Undefined.

And of course special thanks to FC Den Bosch and Giel Baaij, who was also reunited with his great-niece Lianne Baaij, board member of the VNC, during the evening.

All in all, another wonderful event that fits in perfectly with the mission of the VNC:

Bringing China closer and connecting networks.
