On Feb. 24, the celebration of the “National Chinese New Year,” the “Year of the Dragon,” will be jointly organized with the Chinese Community in the Netherlands (LFCON), the Municipality of The Hague and the VNC.
The VNC has overall coordination on this. You are most welcome to visit the Hague City Hall. The VNC will also be there with a stand and we will be able to inform you personally about our plans and approach.
The Year of the Dragon heralds a year of happiness, wealth, prosperity and long life!
The Dragon is also the symbol of the emperor in ancient China. The Dragon represents strength and power, wealth and wisdom and is considered one of the luckiest animals in the Chinese zodiac.
Those who are born the Year of the Dragon take on the characteristics of the Dragon. In China, it is a very great honor to be born in this Year of the Dragon.
