On Saturday afternoon, March 4, the VNC hosted an afternoon on Chinese music with soprano Limin Yang and her students. Our president Monique Knapen presented the afternoon. Limin told about her career (including her participation in Hollands Got Talent) and sang 3 songs. The children sang in Chinese and Dutch and danced a special “bunny dance. The performances were dazzling and the audience got an insight into the peculiarities of Chinese music; 5 scales instead of 7 in the West and insight into the special musical instruments.
