Dianne Sommers
Dianne Sommers is a philosopher, acupuncturist and physiotherapist. As a writer, she publishes in the field of philosophy, Eastern medicine and auriculotherapy. In 2007 The Chinese Fascination for the Mind was published, containing the translation of the classical Chinese text Neiye. More recent books are devoted to auriculotherapy and to complementary treatment methods in addiction care.
Dianne is a teacher at various courses and institutes and provides teaching components from the basic curriculum and develops refresher courses for complementary therapists. As a speaker, she gives lectures at the intersection of Eastern philosophy and Western medicine.
Fang Fang
Fang came to the Netherlands to pursue a master’s degree in Earth Observation and now works at a Dutch GEO-ICT company in Amersfoort. In addition to her professional career, she has developed a strong interest in holistic well-being and mindful living. Inspired by her mother, an experienced Taiji practitioner, Fang immersed herself in the philosophy of Daoism and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). These insights helped her deal with post-COVID symptoms and find a more balanced lifestyle. With over eight years of yoga experience and two years of training in Baduanjing, she continues to deepen her knowledge of mind-body harmony and applies the principles of TCM in her daily life.
Nancy Wong
Born in Suriname and raised in a family with knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine, I connect Eastern wisdom with Western daily life. In this workshop, you will learn the basics of Qi, the differences between Tai Ji Gong, Wu, and Quan, and simple, effective techniques for physical and mental balance. With practical exercises and cultural insights, I show how you can strengthen your daily well-being with timeless TCM wisdom.
Grace Hu
Grace Hu, Ph.D. in Acupuncture & Moxibustion at the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine. Since 2016 she has been running her own acupuncture practice in Maarssen. Her practice, called “Praktijk Modern Acupuncture”, uses modern acupuncture as the main treatment method and is very popular with local residents.
Janske van Dun
Janske van Dun-Vrijsen discovered the power of nutrition for daily health during her work in China. After her own health problems, she became passionate about Classical Chinese Medicine and studied Qigong, nutrition and acupuncture. She teaches Qigong classes and will open her own acupuncture practice in 2026. During the event, she will demonstrate guasha and cupping in the diagnosis and treatment workshop.
Shasha Liu
Liu Shasha is an acupuncturist specializing in traditional Chinese medicine, with a particular focus on moxa therapy. She grows moxa herb herself and makes moxa wool by hand to ensure quality. In her practice, she adapts classical moxa methods to local Dutch health conditions such as chronic pain, cold, dampness and allergies, and strives to integrate this age-old therapy with modern clinical needs.
Ling Zhang
Ling Zhang started her TCM career in 2018 and runs her practice Yi Xiao Tang in Den Helder, known for effective acupuncture and herbal treatments, with many referrals from general practitioners and specialists. Since 2023, she has been following an MSc/PhD program at Swiss TCM University and is treasurer of the NVA and guest lecturer at academies in the Netherlands and Switzerland. She is committed to preserving, developing and making traditional Chinese medicine in the Netherlands and Europe accessible to a wider audience.

Lie Hoogenberk
Lie Hoogenberk teaches creative cooking classes, inspiring women in particular to cook more creatively and with more feeling. Using healthy, seasonal ingredients based on her many years of experience, the 5 elements theory and flavours. Cooking has been her passion for over twenty years. She has undertaken many ventures in this field, including one of the first vintage deli food trucks in the Netherlands, a restaurant in Portugal, and a home restaurant. She offers tastings, online and offline cooking- classes, workshops and customized high tea ceremonies. By cooking with a greater sense of joy, she inspires women to feel freer and happier in their bodies and in the kitchen.

Cheng Liu
Cheng Liu is chairman and co-founder of SAMEDA (Foundation for Doctors and Medical Acupuncture). He comes from a family with a long medical tradition: his father, Wanli Liu, was one of the first Chinese doctors to introduce Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in Arnhem and thus made an important contribution to the awareness of this method of medicine in the Netherlands.
Cheng Liu has extensive experience in the field of TCM regulations, both nationally and internationally. In 2007, he founded a professional association for Chinese doctors, which is now recognized by all health insurers in the Netherlands.
Within SAMEDA, he focuses mainly on the development of clear quality and safety standards and on the integration of physician-acupuncturists within mainstream medicine. His goal is to embed medical acupuncture in a responsible, safe and professionally regulated manner within regular health care.
