Unfortunately, our meeting of February 21 could not take place. We find that very regrettable and unfortunate. We have decided to make a new attempt on March 14 to enjoy a delicious (Chinese New Year) lunch with Cantonese dim sum together.

To celebrate the beginning of the Chinese Year of the Horse, we are going to enjoy Cantonese dim sum. Dimsun (dianxin) are steamed or fried small bites from Cantonese cuisine (from the Guangzhou and Hong Kong region). These are usually eaten for breakfast, although they are often also served at lunchtime. In the Netherlands they are only available during lunchtime.

There is a wide variety of ingredients and flavors of the dim sum, usually a piece of meat or shrimp or vegetable wrapped in a sheet of flour or doufu sheet. We will also enjoy some special dim sum, such as sticky rice with chicken and ‘egg-tart’.

Your host Mr. OEY Toen Ping will bring a special collection/set of Chinese zodiac figures and tell you about their backgrounds.
