A 10-minute walk from Eindhoven railway station, parking garage Q-Park Admirant. And nearby the interesting Philips museum.
ChenJiaYan is a special restaurant in the center of Eindhoven. Traditional Sichuan dishes are served that are described in Chinese as ‘mala’. ‘La’ means spicy (hot) or ‘spicy’, and the word ‘ma’ refers to the feeling of numbness of the tongue and palate by the well-known Sichuan peppers.
However, it is a misunderstanding to think that in Sichuan cuisine there are only hot (spicy) dishes. The ‘mala’ dishes are characteristic of Sichuan cuisine, but there are also other flavors to be found: savory, sweet, sweet and sour, sour. At this meal of the VNC China Eetclub we will enjoy the variety of flavors that Sichuan cuisine has to offer.
Prior to the meal, your host OEY Toen Ping will tell you about Chinese bronze culture and about a special museum just outside Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province in China.
Prices:
€36 for VNC members €45 for non-members, prices do not include drinks and/or dessert/coffee.
