Where in the south of China meals are eaten with rice, in northern China the Chinese use (wheat) flour to make noodles and other Chinese ‘pasta’. Steamed bread is also served at most meals in northern China.
There are several ways in which you can make noodles, the most common are:
– (manual) pulling or
– cutting with a large knife
For this edition of the VNC China Eetclub, your host OEY Toen Ping has found a Chinese eatery in Rotterdam where we can watch the making of the fresh noodles. Of course, after the demonstration we will enjoy this freshly made noodles together.
