The VNC Competition, organised in collaboration with Nuffic, challenged secondary school pupils to show in a creative way what fascinates them about China. In words or images, they could give their personal view of a country full of contrasts, where age-old traditions and modern developments come together.
From the entries, the jury chose one winner who clearly stood out: Liz, Nya and Shriya, Chinese students of Margie Li, Stedelijk College Eindhoven. The winning entry showed in a beautiful and convincing way in a video that Chinese New Year is no longer only celebrated in China, but connects people worldwide. This open and international view fitted in perfectly with the purpose of the competition.
The winners are therefore warmly congratulated. They each receive a Chinese candy package and two cinema vouchers per person.
With this competition, students were not only challenged to think about China, but also to share their own perspective in an inspiring way.
